Critical Care RN

Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Float PoolATC Healthcare of Las Vegas is seeking experienced and adaptable Critical Care Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week night shift assignment within a hospital Float Pool. This role requires the ability to provide high-quality patient care across multiple critical care environments, including ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, SICU, MICU, Step-Down, and other specialty units as assigned based on patient census and staffing needs. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, flexible, and comfortable working in fast-paced acute care settings while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill and high-acuity patients.Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic data, and patient responses to treatment.Administer medications, blood products, and intravenous therapies in accordance with hospital policies.Manage patients requiring advanced monitoring, ventilator support, and critical care interventions.Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.Respond appropriately to medical emergencies, rapid response situations, and code events.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).Float to various critical care and progressive care units as needed based on hospital staffing requirements.Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge needs.Adhere to all hospital, state, federal, and Joint Commission standards.Minimum QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada or compact state eligibility.Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital setting.Previous Float Pool experience preferred.Experience caring for ventilated patients and complex critical care populations.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing patient assignments and unit needs.Preferred ExperienceICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, MICU, SICU, or Trauma ICU experience.Experience with vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring.Proficiency using hospital EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required.Required SkillsStrong critical thinking and clinical judgmentEffective communication and teamworkTime management and prioritization abilitiesRapid assessment and emergency response skillsFlexibility to float between unitsCompassionate, patient-centered carePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, turn, transfer, and reposition patients.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.Ability to respond quickly during emergency situations.Why Work with ATC Healthcare of Las Vegas?Competitive weekly payWeekly direct deposit13-week contract assignment w/possible extensionsDedicated recruiter supportOpportunities for extensionWork with one of Las Vegas' premier healthcare staffing organizationsApply today to join ATC Healthcare of Las Vegas and make an impact in critical care while gaining valuable experience across multiple hospital specialties.#INDLASVEG
