Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Description We are seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Tampa, FL. About the role Report to the Plasma Center Manager. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing lab test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Collaborate with the Center Physician on medical issues, follow industry regulations, and provide center-level EHS support. How You Will Contribute Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self‑exclusion. Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis results. Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support investigations of pandemic threats. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalency of an accredited nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified LPN/LVN in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital experience. Benefits Full benefits package including medical/dental, paid time off, retirement plan, and additional benefits.
