Key Responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist - Interventional Radiology

• Assist with operating fluoroscopy, CT, laser, and ultrasonography equipment during procedures.
• Perform circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures.
• Provide patient teaching and assistance with care within the scope of practice.
• Manage inventory and coordinate schedules.
• Ensure exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
• Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to meet unique patient needs.

Requirements of the Radiologic Technologist - Interventional Radiology

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
• 1 year of training/experience in special procedures/IR required.
• Basic computer experience required.
• Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) certification by ARRT is required.
• Current Texas state Licensure required (MRT by TMB).
• BLS certification required (AHA only); ACLS preferred.
