This is an excellent opportunity for someone with cabinet installation, cabinet building, trim carpentry, finish carpentry, or custom woodworking experience who takes pride in quality craftsmanship. Because every project is custom, this is not repetitive production work. The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, teachable, and comfortable working on a variety of new construction and remodeling projects.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS$18–$25/hour, depending on experience, skill level, and toolsFull-time, 40-hour workweekMonday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMTemp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potentialHealth insurance available upon direct hire; employee contributes toward coveragePaid time off upon direct hireCompany-paid hotel, meals, and travel expenses for occasional overnight projectsMileage reimbursement when use of a personal vehicle is required for travelPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter will assist with the delivery, assembly, modification, and installation of custom cabinets in new homes and remodeling projects. This position requires the ability to read plans and installation documents, use woodworking and carpentry tools safely, and complete installations that are level, accurate, and finished to a high standard.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstall custom cabinets according to floor plans, cabinet assembly sheets, and installation plansLoad, unload, move, and safely handle cabinetryMeasure, cut, fit, and install cabinets, trim, and crown moldingModify or repair cabinets as needed in the fieldOperate chop saws, table saws, nail guns, laser levels, and other carpentry toolsAccurately read a tape measure and interpret dimensionsMaintain quality standards and a clean, safe work areaWork effectively as part of an installation teamTravel overnight occasionally, approximately four times per yearQUALIFICATIONS2+ years of cabinet installation, cabinet building, finish carpentry, trim carpentry, or related woodworking experience preferredExperience cutting and installing crown moldingAbility to read floor plans, measurements, and installation documentsValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredAbility to lift and move cabinets and perform physical installation workDependable and punctual with a strong work ethicAble to accept instruction and constructive feedbackMust be teachable and able to retain new processes and techniquesWHY THIS OPPORTUNITY STANDS OUTThis is a great fit for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys custom work rather than repetitive production.
