Entry Level Automotive Technician

Monaco Ford is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician to join our team in Glastonbury, Connecticut. In this role, you will utilize your skills and knowledge in the auto industry to repair and maintain vehicles for our customers. This is a full-time, hourly position that offers opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.

Compensation for this position is $36,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include:

• Perform basic automotive maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
• Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnose mechanical issues
• Complete repairs and replacements of parts such as brakes, batteries, and filters
• Utilize computer diagnostic systems to identify and troubleshoot problems
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle repairs and recommendations
• Keep an organized and clean work area and tools
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on vehicles
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in the automotive industry or an automotive program is preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of automotive tools and equipment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
