As a Security Officer Patrol Armed in Lynchburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism and care. This role offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and work with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, deliveries, and/or visitor entry in accordance with site protocols to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Observe and report operational hazards, equipment issues, and/or suspicious activity, and complete required logs, reports, and other documentation related to daily site activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
