Custodian-2nd Shift

Summary:
We are seeking a full-time custodial worker to join our team at Manheim Township School District. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school building. This position is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and servicing the needs of the building and making it secure and clean at all times. Special projects or duties will be directed by the Lead Custodians, Custodial Supervisor, Principals, or other staff depending on the immediate attention of the task.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas of the school building
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Restock supplies, such as paper towels and toilet paper
- Maintain the appearance of the school grounds, including picking up litter and removing snow and ice from walkways
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as furniture and cleaning equipment
