This role requires a unique blend of technical proficiency and business acumen. You will not only execute data conversion tasks but also engage directly with clients to understand their data structures, business processes, and ensure accurate mapping into the new system.Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis & ConversionAssess legacy data sources and design conversion strategies for SaaS implementationPerform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using appropriate toolsValidate data integrity and accuracy post-migrationSecure handling of client data, e.g. managing Personal Identifiable Information (PII)​ Client Engagement & LeadershipLead client meetings to gather requirements, clarify business processes, and identify data dependenciesTranslate business workflows into data mapping for the new platformServe as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through conversion best practicesCollaborationWork closely with project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integrationDocument conversion processes and provide training or support as neededDocumentation & MethodologyCreate and implement Data Management strategies, aligned with project and organizational objectivesRefine, maintain, and update data management methodology documents and supporting artifacts, ensuring they remain current, consistent, and reusable across projectsContribute to the development of data management training materials and knowledge transfer documentation for internal teams and client stakeholders.Support and execute data governance use cases, including documentation of standards, processes, and controls related to data quality, lineage, and stewardshipRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or 5 years’ related experience required5+ years of hands-on experience with data conversion, data migration, and ETL processes, including extracting data from legacy systems, transforming data to meet target model requirements, and loading data into new platforms.5+ years of experience designing, building, and executing ETL or data integration workflows, using custom scripts, integration tools, or database-driven approaches.Ability to understand both the service delivery system for programs which are administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.Ability to understand and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements.Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially data analytics (i.e. ACCESS, SQL, SPSS)Ability to use sound judgment in completing tasks and to seek guidance when needed.Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with accurate results.Additional Preferred Qualifications:Proficient withETL, SQL/MySQL, XML, Data Bricks, Microsoft Excel, stored procedures, or other data toolingBasic coding experience in languages such as Python and JavaScriptExperience with relational databases (tables, view, queries, T-SQL and stored procedures)Experience working with customers and/or team members andleading data requirements sessionsParticipation in a minimum of1 full life cycle software implementationUnderstanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle – includingdata requirements gathering, dataset migration, data reconciliation, and move to production3+ yearsof experience coordinating and collaborating with cross-organizational partners to define requirements and resolve data issues3+ yearsof experience mapping, transforming, and loading data from source to target software systemsExperience in aData Conversion work streamon a software implementation Working ConditionsOffice SettingSome travel requiredThis position is hybrid with travel/onsite requirements.
