Location: Oro Valley, AZ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM. Weekend requirements: 2 weekends required, either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.

Job Description: Physical Therapists (PTs) are licensed healthcare professionals who assist patients in reducing pain and improving or restoring mobility. PTs teach patients how to prevent or manage their conditions to achieve long-term health benefits. They examine individuals and develop personalized plans using treatment techniques that promote movement, alleviate pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Additionally, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by creating fitness and wellness-oriented programs for healthier, more active lifestyles. Physical therapists provide care in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health agencies, schools, sports facilities, and nursing homes.

Responsibilities:

• Examine and evaluate patients to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement treatment strategies to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
• Educate patients on preventing and managing their conditions effectively.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• May float to acute care settings as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Arizona is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in In-Patient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Units (SNU), and Acute Care settings preferred.
• Cerner experience is required for electronic medical records.
