Director Finance

Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Director of Finance on behalf of our client, an Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing company. The Director of Finance will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial strategy and growth initiatives, with a strong emphasis on new business pursuits. This position will oversee financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, financial dashboards, and the development of financial models and proposals that support new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial expertise with business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights that drive growth and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning and analysis activities supporting company growth and strategic objectives.
• Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain financial KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide visibility into business performance.
• Support executive leadership with financial analysis and insights for strategic decision-making.
• Partner closely with business development and leadership teams on new business pursuits, which will represent a significant portion of the role.
• Develop financial models, pricing analyses, business cases, and proposals to support new business opportunities.
• Evaluate the financial viability, profitability, risks, and potential returns associated with new business pursuits.
• Provide financial support throughout the proposal and pursuit process, from initial opportunity analysis through final presentation and negotiation.
• Drive financial functionality and ensure accounting and finance processes effectively support business operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, sales, and executive leadership to ensure alignment between financial strategy and business objectives.
• Monitor key financial and operational metrics and communicate results to leadership.
• Improve financial reporting processes and develop tools that increase visibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Assist with strategic planning, scenario analysis, and long-term financial modeling.
• Support major customer and business initiatives with financial analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure financial information used in business proposals and strategic decisions is accurate, timely, and defensible.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
• Stay informed of relevant accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Support SEC-related reporting and compliance activities, as applicable.
• Perform other financial and strategic duties as assigned.

Requirements include: Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

• Significant progressive experience in finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience supporting new business pursuits, proposals, pricing, or strategic growth initiatives.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and KPI reporting.
• Experience developing financial dashboards and management reporting.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional business teams.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or electrical/electronic manufacturing environment preferred.
• SEC reporting or public-company experience is a plus.
