Acorn offers challenging and rewarding employment with competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.About the RoleAs an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with the activities of the overall general accounting and office functions. You will assist with maintenance of accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This position ensures the accurate entry and reporting of accounts payables/receivables, and payroll data and acts as liaison between the company, payroll provider and Accounting Manager in providing required information and ensuring proper records are maintained.ResponsibilitiesMaintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systemsResponsible for completion of accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, payroll entry, cash reconciliation, general ledger)Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute wages, deductions and prepare payroll using third party payroll softwarePerform basic accounting procedures, journal entries and general ledger maintenanceCommunicate with customers and suppliers to address AR and AP related inquiriesAssist with PTO tracking, new hire, payroll data entryHelp review and reconcile general ledger accountsThis role will perform a mix of routine daily functions and month end responsibilities in an onsite position located in Franksville, WIQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field preferredExceptional organization and time management skillsFamiliarity with payroll entry and software systems.High attention to detail; ability to take direction, self-check and follow up on workBasic database experience, 10-key by touch, and calculatorAnalytical and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, or other accounting softwareAbility to apply discretion, and trust with confidential company informationPrior accounting and office experience in a manufacturing environment is helpfulKnowledge of Epicor ERP systems, and Paylocity payroll a plus.Required Skills2-3 years of prior Accounts Payables/Receivables, general office experienceExperience using Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis)General computer skills and ability to learn new systemsExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsPay range and compensation packageIf you believe you have the skills and experience necessary to excel as an Accounting Associate at Acorn Assembly LLC, please submit your resume detailing your relevant qualifications for this role.
