Academic Coach - Learning Center (Bethlehem or Online)

Overview The staff and faculty of Northampton Community College share a single goal: to help students transform their lives through education. Position Academic Coach - Learning Center (Bethlehem or Online) — Part-time (approximately 10 to 25 hours per week). Responsibilities Meet with students one-on-one to help each student achieve success in college. Common focus areas include acclimation to the college environment and faculty expectations, goal setting, academic skills, study strategies, time management, and overcoming academic challenges. Facilitate group workshops, collaborate with faculty and staff, and participate in ongoing training and development through CRLA certification and focused training opportunities. Qualifications Earned bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) Previous experience in academic coaching, academic advising, tutoring, teaching, counseling, or another area related to supporting student success Knowledge of common challenges encountered by community college students, student learning and development, and strengths-based advising preferred Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills A genuine desire to help others learn, achieve success, and reach goals #J-18808-Ljbffr Northampton Community College
