Lead Skilled Tradesman

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Lead Skilled Tradesman to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and production equipment in a GMP-regulated manufacturing facility. The role requires independent diagnostics of complex equipment issues, preventive maintenance execution, and support for continuous improvement initiatives in a 10-hour shift structure.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical systems, controls, and production equipment
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities using SAP CMMS work order system
- Perform root cause investigations and recommend reliability improvements to reduce downtime
- Maintain GMP compliance through accurate documentation and safe work practices including LOTO
- Mentor junior technicians and support equipment upgrades, startups, and automation improvements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification preferred
- Minimum 4 years industrial electrical maintenance in manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting with Allen Bradley PLC systems, AC/DC motors, and electrical distribution
- CMMS systems experience (SAP preferred) and Windows-based software proficiency
- Analytical problem-solving skills for complex mechanical and electrical systems
- GMP-regulated manufacturing experience preferred
- Journeyman Electrical License preferred
