Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Night Shift)

Location

Kingwood, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | 3x12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and IV therapy using Baxter IV pumps and related equipment including SCD machines, glucometer, mobilab, and Welch Allyn devices
• Perform wound care and other standard Medical/Surgical procedures as required
• Document all patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to other Medical/Surgical Telemetry units and the Emergency Department for inpatient hold patients as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Demonstrated caring and compassionate patient care behaviors
• Availability to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Demonstrated flexibility and dependability in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong team-oriented approach to meeting patient care needs
