About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance. This leadership role is pivotal in the development and maintenance of a high-quality, compliant, and efficient safety function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that global pharmacovigilance and risk management activities align with internal policies and comply with global regulations and quality standards. As the chair of the Safety and Risk Management Committee, the VP will oversee medical safety, risks, and their representation, providing strategic guidance on patient safety and compliance matters. The role also involves representing benefit/risk assessments to external parties and managing internal and external governance processes related to safety. Applicants must be Medical Doctors with specific experience in pharmacovigilance and safety risk management, particularly in the context of psychiatry drug development. A broader neuroscience background is also considered. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in pharmacovigilance and safety risk management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a proven track record in key leadership positions. Familiarity with drug safety, quality, and governance systems, as well as a history of innovative approaches to continuous improvement in clinical safety and pharmacovigilance, is essential. The role requires excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, as well as the ability to lead and develop teams and work effectively across functions and organizations.
