Job Description: Senior Electrical Engineer, Columbus, OH, Direct Hire – $100K -$125K Our client is seeking a talented Senior Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Troy, Ohio. This is a highly visible role that works closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, product support, and international teams to drive product innovation, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is electrical-engineering-oriented, hands-on enough to understand products and manufacturing realities, communicative enough to work across internal and external stakeholders, and motivated to grow into a nuanced middle-position between engineering, compliance, testing, manufacturing, and customer-facing technical support. Responsibilities: Support production teams by resolving manufacturing, quality, and supply chain challenges. Provide technical guidance for pre-sale and customer application questions. Investigate product issues and develop solutions to improve reliability and reduce warranty costs. Manage compliance projects involving CE, UL, and California Energy Commission standards. Oversee engineering documentation, ECNs, product releases, and MRP system updates. Create and improve engineering processes related to testing, validation, safety, and compliance. Develop product specifications and participate in design reviews and product testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across North America and globally. Travel approximately 1-2 times per month

Desired Background/Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 3+ years of engineering experience in a related industry. Experience with electronics compliance, hardware design, or engineering document control. Knowledge of industrial batteries, battery chargers, or fleet management products. Experience with hardware design, testing and validation, firmware, or mechanical systems. Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments. Ability to lead and influence technical and non-technical teams.
