Sr. Accountant (Construction)

Highland, CA (Onsite) $80,000 - $100,000 + 100% Employer-Paid Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO & 401(k) Full-Time | Direct Hire | Monday-Friday

A growing construction company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team of 5 and report directly to the Accounting Manager. Construction industry experience is required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of construction accounting experience
• 3+ years of fixed asset accounting experience
• 3+ years reconciling GL accounts
• Strong WIP and Job Costing experience
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and payroll entries
• Perform account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting
• Prepare financial statements and month-end reports
• Maintain WIP schedules and job costing analysis
• Assist with audits and ensure GAAP compliance
• Partner with operations and management to support company goals
