Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to work from either 5am to 5pm or 5pm to 5am on a 4x4 schedule. The role involves training on the first shift for two weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the production floor stocked with materials from the warehouse and transporting finished products back to the warehouse for shipment. You will operate a double fork fork truck.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the production floor is continuously stocked with necessary materials from the warehouse.
• Transport finished products from the production floor back to the warehouse for shipping.
• Operate a double fork fork truck efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in forklift operation, particularly sit-down forklifts.
• 2+ years of forklift driver experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Competency in shipping and receiving processes.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and RF scanner usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Qualified in visual, auditory, physical, and mental aspects to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to work any shift and weekends with potential mandatory overtime.
• Understanding of equipment needs and modifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with quality standards and line processes.

Work Environment

The role is based in a plant environment, where the associate will experience light lifting and warehouse forklift traffic. The production noise level is frequently loud.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HANOVER, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
