They are also responsible for the preparation, basic maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment and inventory. PLAs are expected to assist faculty with supervision of students assigned to laboratories and the acquisition of supplies. Major duties include:Assist full-time faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance, and other miscellaneous tasks related to instructionTutor or mentor studentsPerform lab researchClean labs, as neededObtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materialsMinimum Qualifications:AEMT currently working in the field or retiredTwo (2) years work experience within emergency servicesPreferred Qualifications:ParamedicEMS Instructor LicensingFire Instructor LicensingDesire to obtain Instructor LicensingEqual opportunity and decisions based on merit are fundamental values of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG).
