Ascend Architecture has a position available for a Job Captain with 3-8 years of progressive work experience.

Position Title: Job Captain

Job Captain is in charge of distinct portions of the project under periodic supervision and mentorship of the project leadership. This opening represents an excellent opportunity to join a highly creative, collaborative team while working on inspiring architectural projects

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Production and coordination of drawing sets during all phases of design, under the direction of the Project Architect

- Oversee select portions of the project. Take initiative and show good judgment

- Collaborate at the team level, communicating effectively on design solutions and documentation

- Apply firm standards and conduct reviews of one's own work

- Manage time and workload to meet project deadlines with periodic input from project leaders.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a team member on suitable projects in terms of type and size

- Experience being in charge of distinct portions of projects

- Strong organization and communication skills. Be a great team player

- Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail

- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam required, Sketchup and/or Rhino preferred

- A well-developed design sense and good graphical skills

- Understanding of building materials, details, and construction techniques

- Residing within the Bay Area preferred

- Professional degree in Architecture / LEED accreditation preferred
