Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse opportunity in a healthcare facility, with shifts scheduled for nights. The position offers flexible options of 36 or 48 hours per week and is suitable for both first-time travelers and experienced professionals. Candidates with at least three years of experience in a Labor and Delivery (L&D) department are preferred. The role involves providing care to neonatal and adult patients, managing high-risk deliveries, and utilizing external fetal heart monitoring.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts with a minimum of 48 hours per week, totaling 12 hours per shift.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate and Baccalaureate Level (Advanced), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; prior charge nurse experience recommended; experience with antepartum and postpartum patient care, high-risk deliveries, and use of electronic fetal monitoring.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrical populations, facility births per month, and working with interdisciplinary support teams.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for neonates and adults, managing anticoagulation therapy, sterile vaginal exams, and assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Respondents should be available for 4-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks, and must be prepared to float within like units as needed. Orientation will be provided onsite, and labs must be completed within 48 business hours of contract start.
