About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Retail Banking to provide strategic leadership for its retail banking network. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the retail and business banking, mortgage sales, and retail training functions, with a focus on strengthening community relationships and creating an exceptional member experience. This role demands a high-impact, relationship-driven executive with a proven track record in retail banking operations, particularly within a credit union or community bank environment. The Vice President will be tasked with developing and executing the retail sales strategy, setting performance expectations, and ensuring the retail organization operates as a cohesive, member-centric business unit. Key responsibilities include leading the retail training function, integrating member insights to improve service delivery, and partnering with senior leadership to align retail, digital, and service delivery channels. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of retail banking operations, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles, and a strong understanding of the markets within the company's field of membership. They should possess exceptional coaching, mentoring, and talent-development capabilities, as well as strong strategic planning and business acumen. The role also involves overseeing business banking and mortgage sales, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
