Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• Standard daytime hours (e.g., 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

• No weekends, holidays, or overtime unless otherwise required by the clinic

Overview:

We are hiring a Medical Office Clerk to provide frontline clerical support in a fast-paced Family Medicine clinic under a Department of Defense civilian contract.

This is a highly visible position—ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys being the go-to expert for patient communications and front-desk operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and manage secure messages , promptly documenting communications in the MTF’s Electronic Medical Records system (EMR)

• Relay instructions to patients from providers or nurses via phone or secure messaging

• Check-in patients for appointments and confirm/verifying demographic and insurance information

• Scan and upload medical documents accurately into the EMR

• Initiate diagnostic test requisitions at the direction of clinical staff

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship (required for base access and background clearance)

• Education : High school Diploma or GED 

• Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Experience : Previous experience in a military clinic, hospital, or outpatient practice strongly preferred

• Strong working knowledge of EMR systems, secure messaging platforms, and patient check-in protocols
