Overview $10,000 sign‑on bonus $5,000 relocation (for greater than 100 miles) or $2,500 relocation (for greater than 50 miles) $2,500 BSN Bonus for nurses with 1 or more year's experience – External Applicants Only The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution. Qualifications License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA) Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Education: College Diploma Responsibilities Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care. Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety. Communicates with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback and confers with colleagues. Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to begin appropriate solutions. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies. Receives patient Bedside Shift Report, ensures inclusion of patient input, visual validation of safe room environment, updates communication board. Delegates patient care tasks/responsibilities to assigned HCTrsquo's and validates completion. Completes and documents basic RN patient care activities such as assessments, interpretation of vital signs, ensures physician order completion, admission/discharge, hourly rounding and patient education. Meets Carle Med/Surg RN documentation standards. Provides patient medications utilizing the 5 Rights. Maintains patient safety as highest priority including fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation precautions, and ambulation safety. Maintains a positive attitude promoting healthy work environment. Promptly answers patient call lights. Uses critical thinking to evaluate overall patient condition and acts on changes. Effectively communicates within the healthcare team. Benefits The compensation range for this position is $35.22 per hour – $60.58 per hour.
