RN - NICU-Based Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 08:00), with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled RN for our NICU-based float pool. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the NICU and PICU, with the ability to provide high-quality patient care for neonates and infants.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in the NICU.
• Assist in the management of ventilators and other advanced respiratory support.
• Administer IV therapy and medications as prescribed.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Support feeding strategies for neonates, including bottle, breast, and gavage.
• Monitor and support infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
• Perform placement and management of feeding tubes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of documented NICU Level III and PICU experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS.
