Senior Data ArchitectJob Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid, 3 days onsite) Contract Length: 6 monthsDuties and Responsibilities:Understanding and translating business needs into data modelsSupporting and providing consultation to database users and developersDesigning and implementing effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company dataExamining and identifying database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming for API management and MicroservicesAssessing database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulationsInstalling and organizing information systems to guarantee company functionalityPreparing accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teamsRecommending solutions to improve new and existing database systemsEducating staff members through training and individual supportEnsuring all database programs meet company and performance requirementsResearching new technologies and constantly updating knowledgeBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree5+ years of related experiencePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or EconomicsAbility to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables on time and on budgetExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levelsWork effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelinesExperience working in a consumer-centric company and with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environmentAbility to embrace change, constructively negotiate constraints, and effectively leverage resources to create exceptional outcomes Consistently model and inspire high levels of professional demeanor and integrityExperience financial services, retail, healthcare, telecommunications, and entertainment industriesExperience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelExperience with database programmingRequired Skills: Day to Day: - Will not do data modeling. Will be doing all of the review. There is a full scrum team working on the soap to rest. Refactoring all soap services in XML format, refactoring API in JavaFuse Layer, converting this to rest format. Solution Architecture for the data structure. Data Modular will be reviewing all of the layers, verifying data input/output. Work through solutions, review processes.Tech Stack: REST/JSON, Java/Fuse, DB2/SQL, Oracle, Apigee, GCP, AWS. Well versed in API mgmt. 90% of their services are on DB2 now. Looking for 5+ years' experience as a data architect/modular. Few interactions on AWS, will use a lot of GCP. On-prem. No cloud.
