Senior Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing team in Phoenix, Arizona. This individual will lead estimating efforts for industrial, tilt up, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and large scale ground up commercial construction projects throughout the Southwest. The ideal candidate has strong conceptual estimating abilities, excellent subcontractor relationships, and a proven track record preparing competitive bids from early design through final pricing. Responsibilities Lead conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimating efforts Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for ground up industrial and commercial projects Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other project documents Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids Develop value engineering options and cost savings recommendations Participate in design meetings and provide preconstruction guidance Maintain historical cost databases and current market pricing information Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth project turnover Prepare bid packages, scope sheets, and estimate summaries for leadership review Assist with budgeting, scheduling, procurement planning, and project buyout activities Qualifications 7 plus years of estimating experience with a general contractor Strong experience estimating industrial, tilt up, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and ground up commercial projects Experience delivering projects ranging from $10 million to $150 million plus Proficiency with Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, Building Connected, Procore, and Microsoft Office Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings Strong communication and relationship building skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred Preferred Experience Tilt up warehouse and distribution centers Manufacturing facilities Data centers Food processing facilities Large scale industrial parks Design build project delivery About Us Uprite Construction was established in 1991 as a multi-service construction company specializing in project site development, ground-up, new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements for the commercial and industrial sectors.
