University Hospitals Behavioral Health Institute offers a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology graduates. The primary aim of the University Hospitals psychology program is to prepare scholar practitioners for independent clinical practice in academic medical settings caring for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families with complex behavioral health needs. The program is structured to facilitate the integration of didactically acquired knowledge into guided professional practice. Supervisors facilitate the incremental engagement of fellows with highly complex cases from assessment and diagnosis to case conceptualization and treatment. Fellows are considered integral members of each rotation’s treatment team. Interdisciplinary teams look to interns to provide assessment, testing, diagnostic recommendations and treatment facilitation across multiple rotations and in a specialty area.
