[Required] + Basic computer skills - must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs. [Required] + Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills). [Required] + Equipment use to stabilize and monitor patients (IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley, chest tubes, hemodynamics monitoring), including electronic medical record and automated dispensing medication system (pyxis). [Required] + Proficient clinical skills, critical thinking skills, and strong communication skills. [Required] + Commitment to hourly patient rounding and EKG interpretation class. [Required] + Frequent independent judgment, sound professional judgment and critical-thinking skills in clinical situations, including clinical assessment, data, and patient response. [Required] + Ability to continuously prioritize multiple duties and function in a calm and professional manner during stressful situations. [Required] + General knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques, and the pharmacological process in the appropriate administration or delivery of medications. [Required] + Skill to maintain effective working relationships with health professionals and others to create an environment conducive to carrying out the mission of the facility. [Required] + Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively to direct the overall professional nursing services in a manner which encourages the open exchange of ideas and information. [Required] + Will float to appropriate departments within scope, skill/ability, and credentials.
