Starting pay is based on experience with a pay review after 90 days. Future increases are based on
performance and merit.

What You'll Do
This position combines local driving with hands-on shipping and receiving responsibilities. Depending on the needs of the day, you will:

• Drive our 26' box truck or 26' flatbed for customer deliveries, pickups, and vendor transportation
• Help organize incoming work and stage finished orders for pickup or delivery
• Load and unload trucks and assist our other drivers with preparing and securing loads
• Verify parts, quantities, and job information as material moves in and out of the facility
• Operate a forklift and learn to safely use overhead cranes as needed
• Help keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and efficient

We also want someone who will take ownership of the area. If you see a better way to organize work, stage orders, load trucks, or improve the flow of material, we want you to bring those ideas forward.

What to Expect
This is an active, hands-on position that changes throughout the day. Some days will involve more driving, while others will be focused on shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and organizing work inside the facility. This position offers some scheduling flexibility. A regular start time between 5:00 and 8:00 a.m. will be agreed upon and remain consistent. Earlier starts are preferred because they allow time to organize deliveries before our other drivers begin their day.
Dependability is a must. Regular attendance, arriving on time, and being ready to work at the beginning of your scheduled shift are essential to this position.
You should also be comfortable:

• Following written and verbal instructions while working independently and as part of a team
• Handling large, heavy, and sometimes awkwardly shaped metal parts
• Working on your feet throughout the day and regularly bending, reaching, climbing, loading, and unloading
• Taking responsibility for safely transporting and handling customer parts

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Experience driving larger box trucks, flatbeds, or similar commercial vehicles
• Forklift experience and the ability to operate safely
• Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety
• Someone who takes initiative and looks for ways to improve how work gets done

CDL is not required. Candidates must be able to meet the applicable medical, driving, drug-testing, and safety requirements for operating PPC company vehicles.
