Important Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-recognized school.
• Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
• Minimum 1 year of Clinical Pharmacist experience .
• Fingerprint clearance is required prior to the start date.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays .

Position Summary

The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services for inpatient and outpatient populations across the client main campus and satellite clinics. The role supports patients across the lifespan-including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric populations-while ensuring safe, effective medication therapy in accordance with client policies.

This position offers a career advancement pathway from Staff Pharmacist to Advanced Practice Pharmacist , with opportunities to provide expanded clinical services, lead pharmacy-based clinics, and supervise pharmacy personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Pharmacy Services

• Provide comprehensive medication management services for inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Review, verify, and dispense medications accurately and safely.
• Monitor medication therapy for effectiveness, safety, and appropriateness.
• Provide direct patient care to:
  • Neonatal
  • Pediatric
  • Adolescent
  • Adult
  • Geriatric
  • Oncology
  • Obstetric patients
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
• Counsel patients regarding medications and treatment plans.

Operational Responsibilities

• Ensure pharmacy services comply with client policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support pharmacy operations at the main campus and satellite clinics.
• Participate in rotating work schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Advanced Practice Pharmacist Responsibilities (Career Progression)

Depending on tier level and experience, Advanced Practice Pharmacists may also:

• Provide specialized clinical pharmacy services.
• Manage pharmacy-based specialty clinics.
• Analyze clinical pharmacy outcomes and develop quality improvement programs.
• Implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Serve as Clinic Manager of Operations.
• Supervise:
  • Staff Pharmacists
  • Advanced Practice Pharmacists
  • Pharmacy Technicians
  • Pharmacy Assistants
  • Pharmacy Billers

Required Qualifications

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or

Experience

Licensure
