Bartender Position

The role of the Bartender is to prepare beverages for our guests in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.

Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service
Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problemsAssumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction GuaranteePerforms other duties as required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitalityProvides prompt, quality service to customers of banquet bar by preparing beverages and serving guests in accordance with RHG Managed Hotels standardsProvides service to customers by suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverages and up-selling to premium products as appropriateMaintains adequate levels of beverages and glassware at all times; displays beverages in an attractive fashion on cartMaintains cleanliness of banquet bar cart at all timesMaintains knowledge of bar cart inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questionsDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing proceduresAdheres to legal and/or Managed Hotels policies and standardsUnderstands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage serviceHandles cash, checks and/or credit cards in accordance with Radisson policiesRecords accurate consumption at the end of each function and reports to supervisor

Requirement/SkillsMust be able to obtain and hold a valid Bartender's LicenseMust be 18 years of age, or olderOne (1) year previous bartending experience in an upscale environment preferredThorough understanding of safe and perceptive serviceExcellent customer service and verbal communication skillsAbility to do basic math and handle cashAbility to work with Point of Sale systemsHighly organized demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time.

This position will bartend 2 days a week and barback buss 3 days a week.

Will cover bartending shifts to assist in call offs and team vacation timesPhysical DemandsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 75 pounds occasionallyAbility to maneuver up to 150 pounds, occasionally, for short periods of timeAble to set up and take down tables, chairs, stages and other banquet meeting fixturesAbility to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs, occasionallyAbility to stand for extended periods of time, constantly
