Experience: Minimum of 2 years emergency nursing experience

License: Valid Registered Nurse license

Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, PALS. NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred

Must-Have: General Emergency Department nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education

Description: This position is within a 65-bed Emergency Department that features a pod-based layout. There is a separate pediatric pod and an acute mental health area. The department experiences a high volume with approximately 230 visits per day. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:4. Rotating shifts are required for day positions. Night positions do not rotate. Floating to other areas may be required. The electronic medical record system utilized is EPIC ASAP.
