Here’s how you can scale the professional ladder: Professional Development Path: Rooms Controller Accounting Clerk Front Desk Supervisor Assistant Front Office Manager Accounting Manager Front Office Manager What You'll Do As one of our after-hours heroes, you will: Guard the brand and assets against liability and fraud by ensuring accurate accounting for all areas of hotel operations. Balance, audit, post, and report on all cash, credit, and register operations for the front desk, rooms, and all food and beverage outlets. Provide management with a crystal-clear snapshot of their performance using gathered data. Run the final night audit, ensuring all revenue is in balance. Cater to our beloved guests' needs at the front desk, making them feel at home in the city that never sleeps. Your Super Suit While no cape is required, we do look for certain traits. A high school education or equivalent experience is necessary. A background in Accounting would be splendid but is not required. Six months to a year of Hotel experience will make you a stronger candidate. Your super suit should also include attention to detail, the ability to compile facts and figures, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to occasionally lift luggage up to 50 lbs. Compensation For our superheroes working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range is $21.00 per hour. The actual rate offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to years of experience within the job, industry, education, and so on.
