Physiatry (PM&R) Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a physiatrist you will round at 13 Skilled Nursing Facilities or similar rehabilitation centers 13 days per week at each location. Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25 patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
• Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections Botox treatments dry needling and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
• Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
• Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.

This role is best suited for a self-motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current unrestricted PA or NP license.
• DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
• Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfort and interest in performing peripheral joint injections (knees shoulders hips).
• A genuine passion for providing professional personalized care in an autonomous environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with EHR charting
