Fleet, Equipment & Yard SupervisorThe Grey Barn | Northwest Arkansas Full-Time | $52,000 Base + Up to $8,000 Annual BonusAbout the RoleThe Grey Barn is looking for a hands-on Fleet, Equipment & Yard Supervisor to own the readiness, organization, and maintenance tracking of our vehicles, trailers, landscaping equipment, shop, and yard, so crews show up every morning and go straight to work without wondering if the truck's ready or where the trimmer is.ScheduleMonday to Thursday, 5:45 AM to 5:00 PM. Some Fridays required during onboarding, peak season, or major repairs and projects.Compensation$52,000 base salary, plus up to $8,000 per year in performance bonuses tied to fleet and equipment readiness, preventive maintenance compliance, organization, safety, and reduced downtime.What You Will OwnMaintain a full inventory and maintenance schedule for company vehicles, trailers, and light/heavy equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, and trenchersTrack service intervals, inspections, registrations, and coordinate repairs with outside vendorsOwn readiness of landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, hand tools, and batteries, including basic in-house repairsConduct recurring safety inspections and pull unsafe vehicles or equipment from service immediatelyKeep the shop labeled, organized, and stocked with common parts and suppliesTrack and organize yard and material inventory, including plants, sod, mulch, soil, and irrigation materialsSupport morning crew readiness and evening equipment return and storageHold crews accountable for equipment cleanliness and proper storageHelp maintain organized office records, including registrations, insurance, warranties, and service documentationRequirements3+ years of experience in fleet, equipment, warehouse, yard, facilities, construction, or landscaping operationsExperience being responsible for company vehicles, equipment, tools, or physical assetsStrong organizational skills and ability to build tracking systemsBasic mechanical understanding and ability to identify safety issuesExperience coordinating repairs with outside vendorsComfortable with spreadsheets, email, and basic business softwareAble to work independentlyValid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportationAble to consistently report by 5:45 AMStrongly PreferredCommercial landscaping, fleet management, or construction/field-service experienceSmall-engine or automotive maintenance experienceSkid steer or forklift experienceExperience building preventive maintenance programsGPS/fleet tracking or maintenance management software experienceCore Values and MindsetHave FunThis is a hands-on, people-facing operation. The system does not build itself and it does not care how you feel about Mondays.Hold AccountabilityOwn the equipment and own the miss. If something breaks down that should have been caught, say so early. If a crew is not returning equipment properly, address it directly instead of quietly cleaning up after them.BilingualSpanish/English bilingual is a strong plus.
