Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Hartford, Connecticut

A contract opportunity is open for skilled professionals with expertise as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist. This position plays a vital role in providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a dynamic clinical environment.
Schedule:
- 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Certification as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
- Strong technical and clinical skills in respiratory therapy practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Proven attention to detail and capacity to handle emergencies under pressure
- Deliver prescribed respiratory treatments and therapeutic procedures to patients of all ages
- Conduct patient assessments, interpret diagnostic test results, and monitor progress
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and other care team members to develop and adjust care plans
- Document all care provided and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Educate patients and family members about respiratory conditions and appropriate care techniques
