About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified NICU RN in Bakersfield, California, 93301!

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned NICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and develop individualized care plans
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers in a safe, healing, and caring environment
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provide health education to patients and families
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to various levels of nursing staff while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - required
• AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or ARC Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) certification - required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification - required
• Minimum of two years of recent NICU or relevant clinical experience
• EPIC electronic health records experience - required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior acute care facility experience in a neonatal or similar high-acuity setting

• Work in a well-established acute care hospital environment serving one of California's fastest-growing cities, with access to world-class physicians and top-tier medical technology
