Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for a Maternal Fetal Medicine department, requiring 2+ years of high-risk MFM experience and ARDMS certification.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Maternal Fetal Medicine department
• Main location in Tacoma, WA with 3 additional sites (Lakewood, Gig Harbor, Federal Way)
• Department has 6 machines in Tacoma, 3 in Lakewood, 2 in Gig Harbor, and 3 in Federal Way
• Common studies include detailed anatomy, BPP, growth scans, Dopplers, and twin studies
• Average of 8-10 studies performed per day
• Uses GE and Phillips ultrasound machines
• EMR is EPIC with ViewPoint used as a bridge to PACS
• Monday through Friday schedule, either 7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with a 30 minute lunch
• No weekend, holiday, or call/standby requirements
• May require floating to additional sites outside the main Tacoma location

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine, high-risk sonography
• ARDMS certification required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• License required if applicable
• EPIC experience used in this role
• Must be a self-starter and strong team player able to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment
• Driver's license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform detailed anatomy scans, BPP, growth studies, Doppler studies, and twin studies in a high-risk MFM setting
• Department does not have a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech
• No RRAs used and no in-house radiologist
• IV starts not required for this position
• Scrubs are not provided; any color is acceptable
• Department-specific orientation includes partnering with an experienced technologist
• 12 hours of orientation provided
