About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain their independence and reach their full potential. You will work closely with patients to assess their needs, develop strategies to overcome physical and cognitive barriers, and provide education and support to caregivers and family members. Your expertise will enable patients to maintain or improve their functional abilities, achieve their goals, and enjoy a better quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals
• Provide occupational therapy services, including exercises, activities, and interventions designed to promote cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on strategies to promote independence and health
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and services provided
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and clinical operations

Requirements:

• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Minimum 0 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs
