We’re building a future where nutritious, sustainable food is accessible, craveable, and part of everyday life.About the RoleReporting to the Logistics Supervisor, Logistics Coordinators monitor daily onsite delivery operations from start to finish. Logistics Coordinators are often the first person delivery drivers meet in person, and they are a communication point of contact for emergency and non-emergency calls from drivers. Logistics Coordinators track our Delivery Drivers’ movements to ensure successful direct-to-consumer deliveries.How You’ll Make a DifferenceResponsible for the success of all drivers/routes dispatched from a specific hubUnload deliveries from trucks and/or cold storageRoute organization/stagingCheck-in drivers and distribute routes accordinglyKeep the delivery driver roster up to dateTrain and coach new and existing delivery drivers as neededKeep detailed documentation and compile shift reportsAct as a last resort rescue and/or VIP delivery driver when neededConduct delivery driver interviewsAssist with onboarding new drivers as neededCollaborate with Customer Support and Logistics teams to review and mitigate error reportsWho You Are2+ years proven experience as a dispatcher or related role; direct-to-consumer experience preferredHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredValid driver license and proof of insuranceValid CA Food Handlers Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)Must be able to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidaysStrong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate areaProficiency with tech platforms including, but not limited to Onfleet, G-suite, and SlackAble adapt to/learn new technologies/platforms quicklyExcellent written, auditory, and oral communication skillsCritical thinking and the ability to make quick decisionsExcellent multitasking and organizational skillsA team player approach to your workAbility to adhere to the physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to standing, bending, and walking for extended periods of time, consistently lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 50 poundsOur CultureDiversity, equity, and inclusion are essential values at Thistle.
