About the Role:

Lyons Truck Parts Inc in Kenosha, WI is looking for a motivated Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our hardworking team! This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty, learn the trade, and build a career in the diesel and heavy truck industry alongside experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

Assist diesel mechanics with inspections, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks

Retrieve, organize, and stage parts and tools needed for repair jobs

Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements

Help with the removal and installation of truck components under mechanic supervision

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

Dispose of used fluids and materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines

Support parts inventory by stocking shelves and locating parts as needed

Requirements:

Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in diesel engines or heavy trucks

Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely

Physical ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced diesel mechanics

Prior shop, automotive, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required
