Your New Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions collaboratively with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
• Guiding patients and their families on preventative measures, wellness, and managing chronic diseases
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your professional scope
• Following up on patient care and managing chronic health issues
• Working within interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive healthcare
• Maintaining accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensing in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its equivalents
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to achieve these within 90 days)
