Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Front Desk Associate to join a small hotel team. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests while assisting with reservations, check-ins, check-outs, payments, and daily front desk operations.

The ideal candidate will be organized, comfortable working with the public, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in a professional and positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Check guests in and out of the hotel
• Make, update, and cancel reservations
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with guest questions
• Verify guest information and reservation details
• Process cash and credit card payments accurately
• Provide room keys and information about hotel amenities
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally
• Communicate guest needs with housekeeping and maintenance staff
• Monitor room availability and room status
• Maintain accurate guest and reservation records
• Assist with wake-up calls, guest messages, packages, and special requests
• Provide guests with information about local restaurants, attractions, and businesses
• Complete basic administrative duties, reports, filing, and paperwork
• Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, organized, and presentable
• Complete shift reports and communicate important information to incoming staff
• Report safety, maintenance, or security concerns to management
• Assist with other hotel duties as needed

Requirements

• Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, receptionist, or front desk experience is preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Friendly, professional, and dependable
• Comfortable answering phones and speaking with guests
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to learn hotel reservation and property management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
• Must be available to work assigned weekends and holidays when needed
