Outreach Support Staff Dream Center Los Angeles Department: Outreach Location: The Dream Center Level/Salary Range: $17.87/ hr Position Type: Part-Time The Dream Center’s purpose is to reconnect isolated people to God and a community of support by providing human services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education, and human trafficking. We are building a community of overcomers, people whose lives have been redeemed by God’s love, justified by faith, and born again upon repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord. Job Purpose: The outreach support staff helps facilitate the daily outreaches with a clear purpose of transforming lives through Jesus. They are to help build gospel centred relationships within the community, students and volunteers and foster a healthy and joy‑filled environment for those that are both serving and being served. Duties/Responsibilities: Effectively facilitate outreach by having a good understanding of all Dream Center outreaches and the ability to jump in and serve wherever needed. Support Outreach Managers and Director of Outreach ensuring vision and standards are being followed. Communicate the vision and mission to volunteers, students and teams serving. Drive DC vehicles to and from outreach. Have a clear understanding of the neighborhoods and communities we are in. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and gas. Lead gospel‑centred conversations with community, students and volunteers. Build meaningful relationships with community members, students, volunteers and outreach team. Lead bible studies, gatherings or services when requested. Attend all outreach meetings. Attend all outreach trainings. Ensure all volunteers are following the outreach protocols. Maintain professional email correspondence. Additional duties as required or requested from managers and Director. Understand and adhere to all Dream Center Outreach policy, best practices and safety protocols. Qualifications: High school diploma. CPR Certified. Narcan certified. Mental health first aid certified. Able to be insured under DC insurance and drive all vehicles. Able to clear all applicable background checks. Requires repetitive movement; bending or twisting. Must be able to lift over 50lbs daily. Requires standing for long periods of time. Skills: Able to naturally connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Able to work flexibly and efficiently. Able to build relationships. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to problem solve and take initiative. Able to set an example as a Christian in conduct, teaching and living a life above reproach. Efficient in Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar. Able to take direction and implement vision. Strong work ethic. Reports to Director of Outreach.
