Staff Accountant

Our client is a growing real estate organization seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with 1–2 years of accounting experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant with a strong foundation, a great attitude, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within real estate accounting. You’ll support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple properties and legal entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Record and reconcile daily accounting transactions, including AP, AR, and general ledger activity Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries Perform bank, credit card, and escrow account reconciliations Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and variance analyses Partner with property management and operations teams to resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate documentation and support internal controls Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1–2 years of accounting experience (real estate experience a plus, not required) Experience with accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar (preferred) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred (Nice to Have) Exposure to property management or real estate accounting Understanding of lease structures and property-level financials Why This Role Strong learning opportunity in real estate accounting Supportive team environment with room to grow Ideal for a motivated entry-level accountant looking to build a solid foundation Interested or know someone who might be a fit?
