Key Responsibilities

· Lead all on-site shell construction activities, including structural concrete, steel erection, framing, decking, roofing, and exterior envelope systems.

· Direct and coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, and field crews to maintain productivity, quality, and project schedules.

· Develop and manage daily and short-term look-ahead schedules to achieve key project milestones.

· Champion jobsite safety by enforcing OSHA standards, conducting daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and routine site inspections.

· Perform quality control inspections and manage punch-list completion for structural and exterior scopes.

· Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, temporary facilities, and site logistics to maximize efficiency.

· Partner with Project Managers, Estimators, and fellow Superintendents to resolve field issues, RFIs, inspections, and change orders.

· Maintain accurate daily reports, labor tracking, equipment logs, inspections, and project documentation.

· Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and municipal inspectors to facilitate inspections and project approvals.

· Mentor field personnel, promote teamwork, and uphold SDG SC's commitment to professionalism, accountability, and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

· 5–8+ years of Superintendent experience managing commercial shell or core construction projects.

· Strong carpentry or trade background preferred, with practical knowledge of framing, formwork, and structural construction.

· Proven experience with structural concrete, steel erection, decking, roofing, and exterior envelope systems.

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.

· Demonstrated success managing subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and delivering projects on schedule.

· Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software.

· OSHA 30 certification preferred; First Aid/CPR and additional safety certifications are a plus.

· Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and the ability to travel between project sites.

· High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or a construction-related degree is preferred
