Safety Coordinator

Overview We’re seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to support the Advanced Manufacturing (AM) project portfolio in Spartanburg, SC. In this role you will provide HSE support and leadership to an EPCM project, partnering with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, and Construction Manager to ensure a safe work environment and protect client business continuity. Responsibilities Lead HSE excellence on‑site, ensuring no worker injuries and minimal negative impact on client operations. Serve as a business partner to project and construction managers and field staff. Own incident notification, investigation, and reporting, facilitate injury management and return‑to‑work processes, and develop subcontractor hazard assessments. Conduct safety training, provide regulatory guidance, and oversee the implementation of Jacobs HSE program tools and processes. Provide technical resources and guidance to the HSE team and client stakeholders, and support operational readiness reviews and other relevant forums. Maintain open communication with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, and peer HSE team members. Travel primarily to the project site, with possible additional U.S. or North American travel on future assignments. Qualifications HSE certification and/or associate degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related field Minimum 6‑7 years of professional experience managing construction health and safety At least 4 years of experience supervising subcontractors in construction health and safety Experience conducting and managing safety training Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Strong interpersonal, personnel management, and communication skills Working knowledge of applicable regulatory compliance, federal, state, and local agencies requirements Benefits Employees receive medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the option to purchase company stock at a discount. Pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including skills, experience, and education.
