About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with GSK SOLUTIONS INC to find a qualified Tele / PCU / Stepdown RN in Newport, Vermont, 05855!

• Minimum 5 Years of Recent Nursing Experience
• ACLS Certification
• BLS/BCLS or ACLS Certification
• Recent PCU, MedSurg, and Telemetry Experience
• Ability to Work Independently
• Charge Nurse Experience Preferred
• Must Be Willing to Float to Other Units (ED and MCH) as Needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform clinical procedures, including IV starts, catheter insertion, and dressing changes.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition.
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on treatment and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow established nursing standards, policies, and protocols.

About the Role
This position requires a clinically strong nurse who is comfortable managing patient care independently, serving in a charge capacity when needed, and adapting to the needs of a critical access hospital environment.
