We are seeking a highly skilled, team-oriented Mid-level to Senior Associate Attorney to join our Private Wealth practice. This role is ideal for a mid- to senior-level attorney specializing in high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) estate planning, wealth preservation, and complex tax strategies.

Compensation:

• $150,000 - $200,000 annual base salary with plenty of opportunity to earn performance-based incentives bonuses.
• 25% origination for any portable book of business brought in.
• 10% annual bonus given firm-wide, 2 weeks PTO prorated upon start which increase exponentially year-over-year.

Schedule:

• Full-time, salaried, direct-hire role.
• 1,800 Hours annual billable expectation with bonus tied to exceeding
• Monday-Friday 9AM - 5:30PM, reasonable law firm hours.

Experience:

5+ Years of experience as a practicing attorney with a particular focus on Estate Planning, Trusts & Will Administration, Probate experience preferred (not required), Elder Law exposure counselling private wealth & ultra-high net-worth clientele with unique asset protection, wealth preservation and business succession concerns which bring along with them bespoke tax planning (estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns) or derivative investing strategies, conservatorships and private credit financing matters which establish PIF structuring and formation, complex fund tranches, family-business & shareholder agreements along with various other estate preservation and wealth management mechanisms.

Credentials & Licensure:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited Law School required.
• Master's of Laws (LLM) in a relevant finance, wealth management or tax focus preferred.
• Bar Licensure in CT or NY ( both would be ideal ), or the ability to waive in by comity/reciprocity.
• A CPA, CFPA, CTFA or similar financial certification would be a strong fit for this opportunity

Day-to-Day:

The ideal legal counsel for this opportunity will be advising on a variety of wealth management and asset protection strategies with a strong focus on estate planning legal structures such as revocable and irrevocable trusts mixed with tax mitigation strategy (i.e. IDGT's, ILITs SLATs or GRATs), sophisticated wealth transfer approaches (i.e. PPLI's, GST tax, CRUTs, ) and family business succession planning and other deeply familial matters.
